Founder of Valley Ridge Roofing and Construction in Flower Mound, Texas, Randy Eastburg has grown the company into a successful business that averages more than $7 million annually in sales. When away from the office, Randy Eastburg enjoys watching live horse racing and has attended the All American Futurity in Ruidoso, New Mexico many times.

Held at Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino, the annual All American Futurity Quarter Horse is held on Labor Day every year. Drawing participants from all over the country, the All American Futurity is a 440-yard race that features a large cash prize of $2.4 million awarded to the first-place finisher.

Raising the purse money is a joint effort between Ruidoso Downs and the horsemen who make payments to make their young Quarter Horses eligible to race. This novel financing system enabled the All American Futurity to offer the world’s first $2-million race in Quarter Horse racing. The event remains the highest-paying race for a two-year-old of any breed in North America.
