As the owner of Valley Ridge Roofing and Construction in Flower Mound, Texas, Randy Eastburg builds and repairs roofs of commercial as well as residential properties. A passionate fan of Texas professional sports teams, Randy Eastburg counts the Dallas Cowboys as his favorite National Football League team.
After winning 13 games in 2016, the Cowboys won only nine in 2017 and missed the playoffs for the sixth time in the past eight seasons. In the aftermath, there have been significant coaching staff changes. Since the end of the season, six coaches have either been fired, released, or moved on to better opportunities. One of the first casualties was special teams coach Rich Bisaccia, who was released from his contract and is expected to join the Oakland Raiders’ coaching staff.
Others who have since been released include Wade Wilson, Derek Dooley, Steve Loney, Joe Baker, and Frank Pollack. Wilson and Dooley previously served, respectively, as the team’s quarterback coach and wide receivers coach. Their contracts were not renewed following the end of the season, and Dooley subsequently accepted a position as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach with the University of Missouri Tigers. Loney, the team’s former tight end coach, announced his retirement, and Baker, the former secondary coach, was told that his contract would not be renewed. Finally, Pollack, who served as the offensive line coach for the past three seasons, has joined the coaching staff of the Cincinnati Bengals.
